campaignWORKs or does it?
I’ve been on this project for ages now, it is an ongoing process and to be honest I do enjoy it. The site is http://campaignworks.bellmicro.eu and basically it was started to give resellers of be IT software / hardware manufacturer products and services a helping hand to get quality print ready advertisements to clients. It then moved on to email advertising which works a lot better. The print ready was orignally simulated using flash and then built a PDF to preview and submit. .NET PDF technology is nothing new in the PHP arena but the .NET is either hard work or easy to plugin, it works very well and now we are moving over to the use of AJAX it works even better. Well I can update the system quicker anyway.
The system is cost efective not just for the reseller but also the wholesaler and the vendors. Vendors want to sell products but don’t want to talk to the end user, wholesalers need it to get the resellers to buy off them and resellers love making the sale.
It uses the Microsoft .NET membership system which is great when you learn all about the profile and role system and base the application just on that, so we have MSSQL, flash, AJAX, some javascript plenty of VB.net and a load of other stuff.
