77 hours later and I got the beta on the table and ready for the meeting. It took pride, wisdom and knowledge to build this site. YouTube linked with Image and word uploads using ASP.NET by the book. Well when I say by the book, they always want something that takes asp.net out of its comfort zone. It has the lot, Microsoft Membership with profile and roles with online registration and validation via email. Simple stuff. It tells everyone that you have uploaded a new entry via html emails, not again. The beta is at http://beta.typecastawards.co.uk if anyone wants to add a penny. Anyway I looked at the AJAX rating tag for the rating system but if was not expandable enough so I built my own.
I built the whole system with masterpage, web.sitemap etc, like I said by the book. I’ll let you know when it goes live.
